St. Mary's Visitation (Ahsen)
The Roman Catholic parish church of St. Mary's Visitation is a listed church building in Ahsen , a district of Datteln in the Recklinghausen district ( North Rhine-Westphalia ).
history
The church was first mentioned in a document in 1439 as a branch church of Datteln . It burned down in 1720. The current building is a simple hall with a turret , it was built from 1723 to 1726 by Johann Conrad Schlaun . The transept and choir were added in 1929. The church was renovated in 2019/2020.
