Ahsen is a district of the city of Datteln in the Recklinghausen district . The place lies between the Wesel-Datteln-Kanal and the Lippe , east of the Haard .
history
The place was first mentioned in the 13th century in connection with the founding of the church and a ferry across the Lippe. Since the beginning of the 19th century the rural community belonged to the Datteln office ; In the course of the municipal reorganization , the place was incorporated into Datteln on January 1, 1975.
