St. Maria Goretti (Lippoldsberg)
Sankt Maria Goretti is the Catholic church in Lippoldsberg , a district of the Wesertal municipality , in the Kassel district in Hesse .
history
As a result of the Second World War settled in since the Reformation predominantly Protestant dominated district Hofgeismar Catholic refugees and expellees from the eastern territories of the German Reich down, so that in Lippoldsberg a Catholic parish was formed.
On September 1, 1957, the church designed by Josef Bieling and named after St. Maria Goretti was inaugurated. The church is located on the northern outskirts and has been a branch church of the Heilig Geist Oberweser- Wahlsburg parish in the dean's office of Kassel-Hofgeismar of the diocese of Fulda since October 1st, 2011 .
