St. Marien Church in Leißling

The Protestant St. Mary's Church is a listed church in the Leißling district of the city of Weißenfels in Saxony-Anhalt . It belongs to the parish Weissenfels-southeast in the church district Merseburg Evangelical Church in Central Germany . In the local register of monuments , the building is listed as a monument under registration number 094 15399 .

The namesake of the church is St. Mary . The church was built as a Romanesque choir tower church. The church was rebuilt during the baroque period . The church tower was raised by an octagonal tower. The nave, built between 1713 and 1716, extends almost to the roof dome.
