The Catholic parish church of St. Martin is located in Neukirchen vorm Wald in the Passau district .

history

Neukirchen vorm Wald was already registered as a parish in 1417 . It included the later parishes of Tittling and Preying , which is why the parish church of Neukirchen vorm Wald is known as the "mother church of the Dreiburgenland ".

The heart of the stately church is late Gothic . From 1724 to 1735 it was expanded in the Baroque style. The furnishings include several Gothic and Baroque figures. The imposing tower was built in 1758. Next to the church is the soul chapel. The baroque cemetery entrance is crowned by a gable decoration.
