St. Nikolaus (low summer)
The Protestant village church of St. Nikolaus is located in the Wenigensömmern district of the city of Sömmerda in the Sömmerda district in Thuringia .
history
The church was first mentioned in a document in 1326. In 1722 there was a report on the still formative renovation of the church .
The west tower has a double hipped roof and the hall building has a retracted choir . Parts of the winged altar come from the previous building and were added to the altar in the 18th century . The tower room, separated from the nave by a glass wall, serves as a meeting room for the parish outside of the services.
The center shrine focuses on the crucifixion group . The side wings decorate the altar.
The church is entered in the list of monuments of the Sömmerda district.
