geography

River course

The river has its source on the northern slopes of the Ben Ridge , a mountain range around 20 kilometers north of Ben Lomond National Park and around 33 kilometers north-northeast of Launceston . From there it flows first to the west-northwest to about three kilometers north of the Targa settlement . There it crosses under the Tasman Highway (A3) and turns its course to the south-southwest, along the highway. In the settlement Nunamara he crosses again the highway and flows south to about seven kilometers east of the settlement White Hills , where he worked in the North Esk River flows .
