The parish church of St. Quirin is a Roman Catholic church in the town of Ammerfeld in the market town of Rennertshofen in the Upper Bavarian district of Neuburg-Schrobenhausen . The church in the deanery Weißenburg-Wemding in the diocese of Eichstätt , consecrated to Quirinus von Tegernsee , is a listed building.

According to a chronogram above the choir arch, the church was completed in 1737; it was restored inside in 1966 and outside in 1987.

The hall building with a flat ceiling with a simple west gallery has a retracted semicircular closed choir. In the northern corner of the choir stands the square tower with an octagonal bell storey and a pointed helmet. The interior of the church shows delicate band stucco work with rocailles from around 1737 with frescoed scenes from the life of Mary and the Passion of Christ as well as emblems from the early work of the painter Johann Anwander .

Furnishing

The high altar around 1740 bears the figure of St. Quirin and to the side the figures of St. Willibald and St. Walburga , in the excerpt the Trinity and over the passages of St. Joachim and St. Anna. The side altars, renovated in 1880, show the image of Mary under the cross to the north and the image of St. Wendelin by Johann Anwander. On the walls there are more pictures of Christ, Mary and the Apostles by Johann Anwander. The pulpit was built around 1880, the wooden figures of the four evangelists date from the middle of the 17th century. Joseph Adam Mölck painted the Way of the Cross from 1747 .
