The Weißenburg-Wemding deanery is a deanery of the Roman Catholic Church in the Eichstätt diocese . Around 45,000 Catholics live in the deanery on an area of around 1328 km². Territorially, the deanery covers the Central Franconian district of Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen as well as the parts of the Swabian district of Donau-Ries belonging to the diocese of Eichstätt . It was founded on June 12, 2012 from the former deaneries Weißenburg in Bavaria and Wemding. The first dean is Konrad Bayerle from Weißenburg. 41 parishes belong to the deanery Weißenburg-Wemding, which are organized in five parish associations.
