The dean's office in Nuremberg South is a dean's office of the Roman Catholic Church in the diocese of Eichstätt . Around 60,000 Catholics live in the deanery on about 413 km². Territorially, the deanery covers the southern part of the Middle Franconian city of Nuremberg belonging to the diocese of Eichstätt , parts of the district of Nürnberger Land and individual places in the neighboring towns. It was founded on June 12, 2011 from the former dean's offices Altdorf bei Nürnberg and Nürnberg Süd. Most of the city of Nuremberg belongs to the Nuremberg deanery of the Archdiocese of Bamberg . 21 parishes belong to the Deanery of Nuremberg South, which are organized in five parish associations.
