The deanery Herrieden is a deanery of the Roman Catholic Church in the diocese of Eichstätt . Around 27,000 Catholics live in the deanery on around 853 km². Territorially, the deanery covers the part of the district of Ansbach belonging to the diocese of Eichstätt . During the reform of the deanery on June 12, 2011, it retained its limits. The deans were Stephan Müller (2011 - 2012) and Wolfgang Hörl (2014 - 2019). City Pastor Peter Hauf, head of the Herrieden-Aurach Parish Association, has been Dean since December 2019. 21 parishes belong to the dean's office in Herrieden.
