The deanery Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz is a deanery of the Roman Catholic Church in the diocese of Eichstätt . Around 68,143 Catholics live in the deanery on around 741 km². Territorially, the deanery covers the western part of the Neumarkt district in the Upper Palatinate. It was founded on June 12, 2011 from the former dean's offices in Berching and Neumarkt. The first dean was Monsignor Richard Distler and his successor is Artur Wechsler. 28 parishes belong to the Neumarkt deanery. On Easter Sunday, April 16, 2017, the deanery was organized in thirteen pastoral rooms.
