Reichertshofen is a part of the municipality of Sengenthal in the Upper Palatinate . The parish village has 300 inhabitants and is located south of Neumarkt in the Upper Palatinate at the foot of the Buchberg .

history

Reichertshofen belonged to the imperial estate around Neumarkt. A family of servants from the Reich Ministerials von Stein was resident. The Reichertshofers are mentioned for the first time in 1315 and had their property in fiefdom. After the Reichertshofer died out, the fiefdom justice was transferred to the Lords of Wolfstein in 1597 . As of 1820/21, Reichertshofen is an independent municipality in the Neumarkt district court. In the course of the territorial reform in 1972, the Reichertshofen community is dissolved and incorporated into the Sengenthal community.

The inclined beam with the three stars in the coat of arms of the municipality of Sengenthal was taken from the coat of arms of the Reichertshofer. Reichertshofen is the seat of the parish Reichertshofen.

Business

There are several family-run businesses in the village. In 2001 an industrial area was designated southeast of the old village. Reichertshofen is still characterized by agriculture . There are several farms in the village with more than 30 hectares of farmland.
