The children attended the Catholic school in the parish of Reichertshofen. For 1900 eleven inhabitants and one residential building are reported.

As part of the regional reform in Bavaria , the municipality of Reichertshofen and thus Richthof with its now two residential buildings was incorporated into the municipality of Sengenthal on January 1, 1972.
