Baierfeld (formerly also Bayerfeld ) is a parish village and part of the municipality of Buchdorf in the district of Donau-Ries in the administrative district of Swabia ( Bavaria ).

Baierfeld is one of the border towns of the Alemannic dialect area to Bavarian .

Baierfeld was an independent municipality in the Donauwörth district and was added to the Donau-Ries district as part of the regional reform in Bavaria on July 1, 1972 . On January 1, 1976, it was incorporated into the municipality of Buchdorf.

The Catholic parish of Sankt Joseph in Baierfeld belongs to the Monheim parish association in the deanery Weißenburg-Wemding in the diocese of Eichstätt . The parish also includes Hochfeld , Reichertswies and Unterbuch .
