St. Quirinus is a Catholic parish church in Bengel , a municipality in the Bernkastel-Wittlich district in Rhineland-Palatinate . The church, built in 1901/02, is a protected cultural monument .

history

A Holy Quirinus consecrated chapel in Bengel is called in the 16th century. Since the new building from 1726 burned down in 1865, a new building was built in 1901/02 only after a long period of collecting and lengthy planning. This neo-late Gothic hall church was built according to the plans of the architects Wilhelm Schmitz and Julius Wirtz from Trier .

Church window

The original leaded glass windows still exist and depict scenes from the New Testament .
