St. Vitus (Zellhof)
The Catholic Chapel of St. Vitus in Zellhof , a district of the community of Schöngeising in the Upper Bavarian district of Fürstenfeldbruck , was opened in the 12th and 13th centuries. Century built and in the 17th / 18th Century expanded and baroque . The chapel dedicated to St. Vitus is a protected architectural monument .
St. Vitus stands south of the manor in the middle of an abandoned cemetery on which only wrought-iron grave crosses from the 18th to 20th centuries are uniform .
The Romanesque hall building has a retracted, straight-closing choir and a roof turret . Small Romanesque arched windows can be seen in the choir , which have been released again.
The altar has a figure of St. Vitus from around 1670 in the middle. The late Gothic crucifix is dated around 1525/30. The flat coffered ceiling , which was transferred here in 1972, was created around 1600.
During the last renovation in 1971/72, Roman fragments and pieces of bricks were found here.
