history

The 15th century Gothic church was redesigned in the Baroque style in the 18th century . Church and village are connected to Seeberg Castle . The various owners of the castle used the church as a burial place, especially in the 16th and 17th centuries .

During the communist era the church fell into disrepair; the interior was looted or vandalized. In the meantime the roof of the church has been renewed and the church has been opened to visitors. Display boards present the history of the church and the partly lost inventory. Pulpit, organ and other items of equipment show considerable damage.
