St. Wolfgang and St. Jakobus (Holzhausen)
The listed Evangelical Lutheran village church of St. Wolfgang and St. Jakobus stands on a hill above the village, surrounded by the cemetery , in the Holzhausen district of the city of Heldburg in the Hildburghausen district in Thuringia .
Originally there was a small chapel on the site of the current church , which was mentioned in a document in 1462. It was a subsidiary church of the city of Heldburg . In 1722 the chapel was rebuilt and was a parish church until the end of the 19th century . Today it belongs to the Westhausen parish office .
Twenty pictures of the biblical story are depicted in the gallery fields . The baptismal font with the year 1666 was taken over by the chapel. The altar is below the gallery.
