Frank Arens (born February 27, 1969 in Jülich ) is a former German handball player .
Career
The 1.96 m tall back player played in his youth for Borussia Inden and in Weiden. In 1989 the reigning master TUSEM Essen signed him up . With the long-established club, the right-hander won the DHB Cup in 1991 and 1992 and the Euro City Cup in 1994 . On February 13, 1994 he collided in a home game against VfL Gummersbach with the national goalkeeper Andreas Thiel , which broke his left lower leg . In the Bundesliga , Arens threw a total of 814 goals by summer 2000, including 203 seven meters . He then ran for the regional division TV Angermund .
Frank Arens played nine international matches for the German national team .
