St. Zeno (Stahringen)

The St. Zeno Church is a Catholic church in the Radolfzell district of Stahringen . It is the seat of the parish of the same name in the pastoral care unit St. Radolt-Radolfzell.

history

The first church on Böhlerberg was probably built around 1500. The cornerstone of today's church was laid in 1835 . The "country church" was planned by Heinrich Hübsch , the bells cast by Friedrich Wilhelm Schilling . A fundamental redesign of the interior was carried out during a major renovation in 1977/79. A second renovation of the interior took place in 2015 and opened on November 29, 2015.

The Way of the Cross was designed by Father Ansgar Dreher from Beuron .

organ

The organ was built in 1886 by the organ builder Xaver Mönch for the St. Laurentius Church in Markelfingen . In 1987 the instrument was bought by the parish of St. Zeno and placed on the newly built gallery. The instrument has 7 registers on a manual (C – f 3 : Principal 8 ′, Salicional 8 ′, Gedekt 8 ′, Octav 4 ′, Klein Gedekt 4 ′, Mixtur III-IV 2 23 ′) and a pedal (C– c 1 : Subbass 16 ′) and has a pedal coupler. The actions are mechanical.
