The StEG II 581 was a steam locomotive with a tender belonging to the Staats-Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft (StEG), a private Austrian-Hungarian railway company .
The machine was commissioned by StEG from its own locomotive factory , but came to MÁV immediately after delivery in 1892 , where it was given the designation IIIn 3089.
The vehicle was an attempt to achieve the composite effect with three cylinders in the triple-coupled locomotives, which were to be used in both freight and passenger trains. All three cylinders acted on the second, cranked drive axle.
The one-off was retired before 1911, so it can be assumed that it did not prove itself.
