St Boswells is a village in the Scottish Borders Council Area in south-eastern Scotland .
geography
The place is about 30 km north of the border with England, near the south bank of the River Tweed and is named after the holy Boisil , an abbot of the nearby Melrose Abbey . Another ex-Borders abbey, Dryburgh Abbey , is in close proximity to St Boswells, as is Scott's View . The A68 from Darlington in England to Edinburgh runs near the place. From 1849 to 1969 St Boswells owned a station on the Waverley Line .
