program

General

Up to 1999 only about 40% were produced in-house, the program was taken over by NDR Info when there was no broadcast . There has been a 24-hour program since 2001, which is taken over by an automatic music flow control system during the night after the last public radio broadcast (usually starting between 11 p.m. and 1 a.m.) and until 6 a.m., as well as during the day at other unoccupied broadcasting slots. Today's program consists of editorially designed programs and community radio programs. The choice of music is diverse, but there are fixed categories. The local news is produced by the editorial staff and made available to the public free of charge in an online news archive with a news stock since 2005. The international news has been taken over by the cooperation partner Deutschlandfunk since 2004 .

Citizen broadcasts

A large part of the broadcasts that can be heard on StadtRadio Göttingen are part of the citizens' radio program, which gives everyone the opportunity to create their own radio broadcast. Citizen radio training is required for this, which is offered by StadtRadio. The subject and content of these programs can be freely and independently determined. It follows that the responsibility for the content lies with the programmer (based on the Lower Saxony Media Act and the SRG's usage regulations) - the StadtRadio only provides the technology. A list of citizen radio broadcasts can be found under the web links below.

An analog Orban 8101-B was in use until 2002, after which a digital Omnia 4.5-FM was used. The sender crossbar is still completely analog.

The feed to the transmitter Bovenden / Osterberg is realized via a digital 2x2 Mbit line from Telekom.
