Eppingen City Archives

The Eppingen City Archives keep the official communal records of the city of Eppingen in the Baden-Württemberg district of Heilbronn and the incorporated towns of Adelshofen , Elsenz , Kleingartach , Mühlbach , Richen and Rohrbach . The stock comprises around 1200 running meters.

Other documents on local history are also collected: bequests, newspapers, magazines, videos, photos and posters. The literature on the history of the city and its districts is kept in the archive library.

The old stock of the city archive has been housed since the 1970s in the former school building at Gemminger Strasse 7 in Richen, which was used as the town hall until 1971.

  • Judicial and Council Minutes since 1604
  • The account books of the city of Eppingen go back to the 16th century.
  • The billets and requisitions of the Napoleonic period are documented in files in the archive .
  • The fire insurance books are available from the end of the 18th century, they document the condition of the buildings and the names of the owners.
