City garden (Chur)
The city garden in the Grisons canton capital Chur is a public park and a public garden .

The park is located northwest of the old town next to the post office and - separated by Grabenstrasse - across from Fontanapark .
History and equipment
1529 - after acceptance of the Reformation in Chur - served the place as Scalettafriedhof the Martin Church . In the years 1866–68 it was converted into a park . The cemetery function was transferred to the Daleu cemetery .
In addition to numerous epitaphs from 1558 to 1861, two monuments stand out in the city garden: one commemorates the poet Johann Gaudenz von Salis-Seewis , the other from 1922 to the - so the inscription - "Victims of their military obligation" originally in the first and after one It was rededicated later during the Second World War .
