The city park in the Thuringian capital Erfurt is a 6.5 hectare public park. It is located south of the main train station in the Löbervorstadt district .

The Daberstedter Schanze was originally located on the site as part of the historic city fortifications. In the course of the city expansion at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th centuries, the fortifications were demolished and redesigned. The city park in its current form was laid out in 1908. It is accessible from the main station via the city park stairs. There is a playground, a pavilion and a fountain with a sculpture (“Brunnenfigur”, 1911) by Arthur Lewin-Funcke . The tree population includes Amur cork trees and a mulberry tree . During the Second World War there was an extensive air raid shelter for rail travelers and residents under the city park .

The city park staircase, built between 1908 and 1910, was restored in 2014 for a total of 1.27 million euros. In this context, the water features in the entrance area at the top of the stairs were put back into operation after years.
