The company was founded in 1897 with the aim of targeting industrial and commercial businesses with its own energy supply. Renewable energies, funding programs, energy advice
Stadtwerke Homburg support its customers with subsidy programs and advice on saving energy and using renewable energies . In order to expand the decentralized structures on site, Stadtwerke Homburg has been building its own plants in the field of combined heat and power , such as B. combined heat and power plants , and in the field of renewable energies own photovoltaic systems . Natural gas filling station
At the first public natural gas filling station in the district and university town of Homburg, it has been possible to fill up with an electronic fuel card around the clock since April 1998. Stadtwerke Homburg invested around 2 million DM in this project. Stadtwerke Homburg's second natural gas filling station at the Tank & Rast facility in Homburg on the A6 in the direction of Kaiserslautern went into operation in October 2007.
Charging columns for e-vehicles
Electric vehicles can currently charge electricity at four columns in Homburg. Stadtwerke Homburg has now taken over three charging stations in the state and is in charge of the new charging station in the Saarpfalzkreis. HKH - Homburg thermal power station
