Stahlhammer is an Austrian metal / NDH band that was founded in 1992 by Michael Stocker and Gary Wheeler.

history

In 1995 the band released their first album "Killerinstinkt". This album was stylistically assigned to Thrash Metal . This album also features a cover version of Pink Floyd's “ Another Brick in the Wall ”. Then singer Gary Wheeler left the band. In his place came Georgij Alexandrowitsch Makazaria, with whom "Viennese blood" and "Enemy is listening" were recorded. Stahlhammer covered two famous Falco songs on the latter album (“ Mother, the man with the coke is here ”, “ Jeanny ”), which became part of the Falco cyber show. After this album Makazaria left the band to devote himself to other projects (among other things, he founded the ska band Russkaja ). After a few years of not hearing from the band, they returned in 2002 with "Eisenherz", on which old singer Gary Wheeler took over the microphone again. In 2004 she released her 5th album, which was followed by a club tour across Europe. The album contained the cover song to Falco's " Out of the Dark ". Her current album Opera Noir contains some cover songs from the 80s, including Phil Collins ' " In the Air Tonight ".
