The Staller Almbach is a brook in the municipality of St. Jakob in Defereggen ( Lienz district ). The stream rises on the Obersee and flows into the Schwarzach west of the village of Erlsbach .

course

The Staller Almbach rises as an outflow of the Obersee near the state border with Italy, with 0.1 km² of its catchment area on Italian territory. Shortly after its origin, the Staller Almbach takes on the Zinsentalbach on the right-hand side and flows in a north-easterly direction through the alpine pastures of the Staller Alm. As a result, the brook falls down a wooded gorge and flows west of the village of Erlsbach into the Schwarzach.

Energy use

Since 2007 there have been plans to build a power plant on Stallerbach by a private applicant. A negative decision by the state of Tyrol was overturned by the administrative court in 2011.
