Stan Taylor

Stan Taylor (actually Stanley George Taylor; born April 14, 1937 ) is a former British middle-distance runner .

In 1962 he retired from the European Athletics Championships in Belgrade over 1500 m in the preliminary run. Starting for England , he finished seventh in the mile run at the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Perth and failed over 880 yards in the first round.

In 1962 he became English champion over a mile.
