Stani Bergheim (born August 18, 1984 in Krasnaja Gorka, today a district of Grigoriopol , Moldova as Stanislaus Bergheim ) is a German football player of Moldovan descent. Until the summer of 2013 he was under contract with the second division club VfR Aalen .

Career

Bergheim came to Germany from Moldova at the age of eight and grew up in Ellwangen . In his youth, Bergheim played for TSV 1846 Ellwangen and FC Röhlingen in 1948 . He was also used in the selection team of the Württemberg Football Association . In the adult division, the 1.82 m tall striker played for Normannia Gmünd until 2005 .

Via stints at Bonner SC and the second team of Karlsruher SC , he came to 1. FC Heidenheim in 2008 , with whom he was champion of the Regionalliga Süd in 2009 and rose to the 3rd division . However, he could not prevail in Heidenheim and returned at the beginning of the 2009/10 season to the upper division Normannia Gmünd.

In the summer of 2011, he completed a trial training session with third division club VfR Aalen . Since the club preferred to sign a left-back for its professional team instead of a striker, Bergheim first switched to the VfR second team, which played in the association league, in order to recommend itself through good performances for the professional team. After five games in which he scored four goals, he moved up to the squad of the first team and finally made his professional league debut on September 10, 2011 when he played against 1. FC Saarbrücken in the 68th minute for Martin Dausch was substituted on. Three game days later he was in the starting line-up for the first time. Although he was mostly substituted in or out, Bergheim got a lot of working time and thus came to 23 missions in his first season, 15 of them from the start. At the end of the season he reached the second place in the table with the team and rose to the 2nd Bundesliga . In his second year in Aalen he belonged again mainly to the reserve of the VfR - now relegated to the national league - which he led to promotion to the association league with 21 goals this season and was also top scorer. Bergheim only appeared twice in the 2nd Bundesliga, each against SV Sandhausen : While he was only substituted in the final phase in the first leg, he was even on the starting line-up in the second leg, but was then substituted in the 74th minute.

After his contract with the Aalen team expired in the summer of 2013, Bergheim ended his professional career. He then joined the national division TSV Essingen for the 2013/14 season , which he scored with 32 goals for promotion to the association league .
