Stanislav Vasilj (born April 13, 1985 in Posušje ) is a Bosnian football player with Croatian citizenship.

Player career

Vasilj began his career with NK Posušje in his native Bosnia and Herzegovina , in 2005 he came to Zrinjski Mostar, where he made his first appearances in the highest Bosnian league. Vasilj also played in Zrinjski Mostar's Champions League qualification. The striker played half-time against Luxembourg representative F91 Dudelange in the 1-0 first leg in Dudelange , where he was substituted on for Rasid Avdic . The Bosnians lost 4-0 in the second leg and could not qualify for the second round.

After a year in Mostar , Vasilj moved to the big Bosnian club FK Željezničar Sarajevo , where he was only active for half a year before moving to Austria to FC Red Bull Salzburg and their amateur team the Red Bull Salzburg Juniors.

After a cruciate ligament rupture in the spring of 2007, the Bosnian was out of action for a long time, but the same mishap befell him again in autumn 2008, which is why he has only been able to play three games for Salzburg so far . He has had one hit so far.

Vasilj signed on February 1, 2010 and thus on the last day of the transfer time for the league leaders of the Salzburg regional league, SV Austria Salzburg .
