Stascha Bader

Stascha Bader (also Staša Bader , born May 8, 1956 in Yugoslavia ) is a Swiss documentary writer and director .

Life

Stascha Bader studied art history , German and English literature at the University of Zurich . He received his doctorate with the dissertation "Electro-oral poetry in Jamaica and England", which was published in Germany under the title words like fire: dance hall reggae and raggamuffin in Jamaica and England . Post-graduate studies in music and directing took him to Berlin, New York and Los Angeles. He is the owner and manager of the production company Kunst & Kommerz GmbH. As an author, director and producer, he creates reports and long documentaries for prime time for Swiss television and 3sat, among others in collaboration with the author and publisher Anne Rüffer . He also shoots video clips for Swiss bands and singers and makes corporate communications films for agencies, companies and institutions. In 2009 his feature documentary Rocksteady - The Roots of Reggae , a Swiss-Canadian co-production, for which he won the Zurich Film Prize and was nominated for the best Swiss documentary film, was released. Stascha Bader has a teaching diploma for high school and teaches German at grammar schools in German-speaking Switzerland. He was rector of the Swiss school Colegio Helvetia in Bogota, Colombia, and head of the upper school at the Rheintal-Studenland district school in Bad Zurzach, canton Aargau, Switzerland.
