Stasys Mizaras

Stasys Mizaras (born January 5, 1942 in Kazlų Rūda , Marijampolė district ) is a Lithuanian forest scientist and forest economist.

Life

After graduation in 1959 at the middle school Šeštokai graduated Mizaras 1959-1964 Diploma Studies of Forestry Engineering at the Lietuvos žemės ūkio akademija in Kaunas , from 1965 to 1970, the diploma in economics from the Vilniaus universitetas , and from 1970 to 1973, the postgraduate at the Department of Forestry Products in Voronezh . 1973 doctorate Mizaras the candidate of agricultural sciences in forestry science (in Russian on "Методика определения себестоимости выращивания древесины в добровольно-выборочном хозяйстве"). From 1973 to 1974 he was senior research assistant and from 1974 to 1976 group leader for scientific research at the research department of the Lietuvos žemės ūkio akademija.

In 1964 Mizaras worked as a master in the Bubiai forestry near Šiauliai . From 1964 to 1965 he was the district forester of Strazdai and Kurtuvėnai in the Šiauliai forest district . From 1967 to 1968 he worked as the district forester of Baltašiškė in the Veisiejai forestry department and from 1968 to 1970 as the chief forester in the Nemenčinė forestry department .

From 1976 to 1977 he was senior researcher , from 1978 to 1996 department head and from 1997 to 2008 deputy director at the Miškų institutas in Girionys . From 2009 to 2012 he taught as a professor at the Aleksandras Stulginskis University in Akademija . Since 2013 he has been the senior researcher at the Forestry Institute in Girionys.

His father was a sub-forester in the Kazl Rūda and Veisiejai chief foresters .

Mizaras is married. His daughter Diana Mizaraitė-Lukminė (* 1968) is deputy director at the Forest Institute in Girionys, also a forest economist, who has worked at the research institute since 1992.
