Steel Attack is a Swedish power metal band from Sala . The lyrics of the band are typically about epic battles, dragons and swords.

history

The band was founded in 1995 as Mayer's Eve . In 1997 it changed its name to Steel Attack .

After Ronny Hemlin joined the band as a singer in 2003, the band took a new direction with the 2004 album Enslaved , both musically and lyrically. The old power metal style became more aggressive and typical power metal texts were abandoned. Ronny brought in mystical and religion-related lyrics that fit the band's new style.

With the release of their album "Diabolic Symphony" the band began to use elements of progressive metal. By using keyboards, a more voluminous style of music was taken up.

In 2007 Anden Andersson, Tony Elfving and Johan Jalonen decided to leave the band. The three have been replaced by Johan Löfgren (bass), Peter Morén (drums) and Simon Johansson (guitar).

The album "Carpe DiEnd" of the new line-up was released on February 22, 2008 by Massacre Records.

In early 2009 guitarist Simon Johansson left the band for personal reasons and was replaced by Johan Jalonen, who was previously a member of the band.

On April 16, 2010, the band announced their reunion with the original line-up.
