Steel Curtain in Kennywood ( West Mifflin , Pennsylvania , USA ) is a steel roller coaster from the manufacturer S&S Worldwide , which opened on July 13, 2019. At the time of its opening, it was the most inverted roller coaster in the United States, with eight inversions . It is located at the point where the wild water course was previously .
The theming of the railway relates to the Pittsburgh Steelers and is embedded in the new Steelers Country themed area . The name is based on a line of defense used by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 1970s.
The drive
The 1219 m long route reaches a height of 67 m and has eight inversions: a dragon fire- like dive drop , a banana roll, a sea serpent roll , which consists of two inversions, a dive loop , a zero-g stall, a corkscrew and a cutback .
Trains
Steel Curtain has two trains with six cars each. Four people (two rows of two people) can be seated in each car.
