Stefan Banach Medal
The Stefan Banach Medal ( Polish Medal im. Stefana Banacha , English Stefan Banach Medal ) is a medal awarded by the Polish Academy of Sciences for outstanding mathematical achievements, which was initiated on the occasion of the hundredth birthday of Stefan Banach . The award winner is invited to give a Banach lecture at the International Banach Center for Mathematics in Warsaw .
