Stefan Bayer

Stefan Bayer (born November 23, 1968 in Sindelfingen ) is a German economist .

Life

Bayer studied economics, mathematics and computer science at the Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen ( graduate economist 1995). He then worked as a research assistant at the Chair of Public Finance and Environmental Policy (Professorship Dieter Cansier ). In 2000 he was awarded a Dr. rer. pole. ( summa cum laude ) and was awarded the University Prize of the University of Tübingen.

From 2000 to 2004 he was a research assistant. In 2003 he received a visiting professorship at the Fundação Getulio Vargas in Rio de Janeiro. In 2006 he held the chair for economics, in particular finance, at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Hamburg . In 2007 he completed his habilitation and received the venia legendi .

From 2007 to 2012 he was a private lecturer at the Faculty of Economics in Tübingen. In 2012 he completed his habilitation and became a private lecturer in economics at the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences in Hamburg. He has been a professor of economics since 2014. In addition, since 2004 he has been a lecturer for the military and economics (or ecology ) in the faculty of social sciences and human and social sciences at the command and control academy of the Bundeswehr in Hamburg.

He is married and has two children.
