Klaus W. Zimmermann

Klaus W. Zimmermann (born November 4, 1944 in Haßlinghausen ; † September 1, 2012 ) was a professor of economics, particularly finance, at the Helmut Schmidt University / University of the Federal Armed Forces in Hamburg.

biography

Klaus W. Zimmermann studied economics at the University of Cologne . From 1970 to 1975 he was a research assistant at the Financial Research Institute at the University of Cologne, where he was awarded a Dr. rer. pole. received his doctorate . 1982 followed the habilitation for economic political sciences at the University of Cologne. From 1976 to 1985 Zimmermann was a Research Fellow at the International Institute for Environment and Society at the Berlin Science Center (WZB). In 1986 he took over the chair at the Helmut Schmidt University / University of the Federal Armed Forces in Hamburg. Zimmermann was also the managing editor of the magazine for environmental policy and environmental law.

Klaus W. Zimmermann died unexpectedly on September 1, 2012 at the age of 67. The funeral service took place on September 26, 2012 in the Church of the Good Shepherd in Berlin-Friedenau . Klaus W. Zimmermann found his final resting place in the state-owned cemetery in Heerstraße in Berlin-Westend (grave location: II-Wald-25-A / B).
