Stefan Bolliger (* 1968 in Zurich ) is a Swiss lighting designer who mainly works with the director Andreas Kriegenburg .

life and work

Bolliger worked as a freelance lighting technician for a number of years and was employed at the Hamburg Thalia Theater from 1995 . From 1997 to 2006 he was deputy lighting inspector there. From 2006 to 2010 he was head of the lighting department at the Schauspielhaus of the State Theater Stuttgart . He designed the lighting for numerous productions by Andreas Kriegenburg , first at the Thalia Theater, and finally Wozzeck , The Ring of the Nibelung and The Soldiers at the Bavarian State Opera .

In 2003 Bolliger made his debut at the Salzburg Festival - in Michael Thalheimer's Woyzeck production and finally designed the light in two Christof Loy productions ( Theodora 2009, Frau ohne Schatten 2012). In the summer of 2013 he lit Jens-Daniel Herzog's Magic Flute in Salzburg and in 2014 the Kriegenburg production of the Ödön von Horváth play Don Juan Comes from the War .
