Stef Broenink

Stefan "Stef" Broenink (* 19th September 1990 ) is a Dutch rower who in 2019 second in the European Championships in one was.

The 1.94 m tall Broenink only started rowing in 2011. In 2014, he competed in the Rowing World Cup in Sydney for the first time and finished second with the Dutch eighth . At the European Championships in 2014 , the eighth finished seventh. In 2015 he rowed double sculls with Ruben Knab in the World Cup . In 2016 he switched to the single. At the 2017 World Championships , he finished eleventh. In 2018 he started in the World Cup in double sculls and then switched to double sculls . At the European Championships in Glasgow, Dirk Uittenbogaard , Stef Broenink and Koen Metsemakersand Abe Wiersma in fifth place, over three seconds behind third place. At the 2018 World Championships in Plovdiv, the boat also finished fifth, but this time it was less than a second behind third place.

In 2019 Broenink competed in the European Championships in Lucerne and won the silver medal 0.19 seconds behind the German Oliver Zeidler . At the World Cup in Rotterdam, he finished fourth in the double scull with Melvin Twellaar .
