Stefan Dryszel
Stefan Dryszel (born December 25, 1958 in Stanica (near Gliwice )) is a former Polish table tennis player and Polish national coach. In 1984 he was vice European team champion.
Career
In 1970 Stefan Dryszel began playing table tennis at the AZS Gliwice club , where he was supported by trainer Kornel Kubaczka. He was twice the Polish master student.
He later played in France for ULJAP Roncq, from where he moved to TTC Grenzau in the German Bundesliga in 1991 . A year later he joined CFC Hertha 06 Berlin , which he left in 1995 for Würzburger Kickers . He ended an interlude at SV Adelsried in 2000 when he switched to Würzburger Hofbräu . In 2005 he played in Austria at UTTC Salzburg.
From 1978 to 1987 Stefan Dryszel took part in five world championships and five European championships . He won silver in the team competition at the European Championship in 1984 and bronze at the World Championship in 1985 . Until 1991 he was used 145 times in the Polish national team.
Around 2005 he became the national coach of Poland.
Private
Stefan Dryszel has German roots, his grandfather was German. He is married and has a daughter.
