Stefan Tobias Frech (born April 1, 1977 in Singen (Hohentwiel) ) is a German radio and event presenter.

life and career

Stefan Frech grew up in Hilzingen and currently lives in Hamburg and Frankfurt . After graduating from high school and then doing military service with the Franco-German Brigade , he began his media career in 1997 at what was then Südwestfunk in Baden-Baden. He completed his traineeship at the Baden-Württemberg private broadcaster Radio 7 . After his time in Ulm, he presented his program “Frech @ work” at Energy Stuttgart from 2003 . Radio Tele / FFH brought Stefan Frech to planet radio in 2005 to host the morning show . From there he moved to Hamburg for the NDR in 2008 . First he moderated the morning show “Frech & Freunde” at N-Joy and then switched to pop wave NDR 2 in 2012 . Here he mainly presents the music journalistic programs from the Soundcheck series or the concert evening for the Reeperbahn Festival . Parallel to his work at NDR, he has also been working for the pop wave hr3 at Hessischer Rundfunk since 2012 . He moderates the hr3 morning show or can be heard in the hr3 evening program.

Events

Stefan Frech presents numerous events at home and abroad. Since 2015 he has also been working as an MC / Emergency Speaker at large open airs - for AC / DC, Guns'N'Roses, Robbie Williams, Pink, Ed Sheeran, etc., among others. Since December 2018 he has been one of the three presenters at the Night of the Proms (concert series) , a classic pop event that takes place annually at the end of the year in Germany's largest concert halls. In addition, since March 2019 he has moderated the Germany Military Tattoo, the content of which is based on the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo and belongs to the largest military music show in Germany.

In 2011, Stefan Frech was honored for his work as “Best On Air Personality” at the international New York Festivals in the USA. He has been a member of the Grand Jury of the New York Festivals since 2012.

Public engagement

Stefan Frech is committed to promoting voluntary work nationwide. He supports the Hilzingen volunteer fire department and the Frankfurt-Oberrad volunteer fire department. He is also the godfather of the CleanFFM environmental campaign and the Immanuel-Kant school in Reinfeld, Schleswig-Holstein.
