Stefan Frommelt

Stefan Frommelt (* 1966 ) is a pianist , composer , arranger and music teacher from Liechtenstein .

biography

Frommelt completed music studies at the Vienna University of Music (school music, Mag. Art. 1992), the Lucerne University (performing, composing, arranging, diploma 2000) and in numerous master classes , including with Simon Nabatov in Cologne ; Uli Rennert in Graz ; Art Lande and Uli Scherer in St. Gallen and others. He teaches piano and keyboard and gives band workshops at the Liechtenstein Music School .

Bands and projects

Frommelt is the founder / band leader of numerous formations, including a. of the jazz circus , an eight-person formation that sets the dialect poems of Liechtenstein poets to music. The group performed on the Liechtenstein Day of Expo.02 in 2002 , received the 2003 Culture Prize of the International Lake Constance Conference and in 2005 recorded the Manege CD freely .

The CD An Art Ugrad by the Stefan Frommelt Trio , recorded in 2015/16, stayed on the iTunes bestseller list for new music for weeks .

The pianist appears as an accompanying musician with Sandy Patton , Marianne Racine , Carlo Lorenzi , Herbert Walser , Alfred Vogel , the Big Band Liechtenstein , and others.

As a composer and arranger, Frommelt completed orders for arrangements by the pop singer ZeeBee with orchestra ( In Peace we live , 2007) and composition for music theater ( Sennatunschi , Gute Nachbarn , Topdogs , 2007-2010), orchestra and saxophone solo ( Hena and Dena , 2008) , Orchestra and jazz singing ( You are happiness in me , 2013), for orchestra and jazz trio ( Spring Flakes and Family Sketches , 2015).

From 1993 to 1998 Frommelt was the musical director of the Art & Music Company in Bern and in 2004 and 2006 at the Theater am Kirchplatz (TaK).
