Stefan Kolle

Stefan Kolle (born April 27, 1962 in Wuppertal ; † September 13, 2017 in Ibiza ) was a German advertiser and founder of the Hamburg advertising agency Kolle Rebbe.

Life

Stefan Kolle studied at the University of the Arts in Berlin . After working as a copywriter in Vienna and Hamburg, he founded the advertising agency Kolle Rebbe in 1994 with Stephan Rebbe, a flat mate from his student days. The agency created campaigns for TUI , Bionade , Otto , Google and Netflix . For the 2014 soccer world championship , Kolle had a Boeing 747-8 from agency client Lufthansa affixed with the words “Siegerflieger” - the world champions came to Berlin in the plane.

Kolle was considered one of the most important creative minds in the German advertising industry. In November 2017, Kolle was posthumously inducted into the “Hall of Fame of German Advertising”. The Kolle Rebbe agency has around 290 employees and reported a turnover of 34.8 million euros in 2016. Stefan Kolle died surprisingly on the night of September 13, 2017 on the island of Ibiza.

Kolle was married and had two children.
