Stefan Lüddemann (born January 5, 1960 in Bremen ) is a German cultural journalist , cultural scientist and book author . He heads the “Culture and Knowledge” section of NOZ Medien / Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung in Osnabrück . Stefan Lüddemann is honorary professor at the University of Osnabrück and a member of the PEN Center Germany and the international PEN Club .

Life

Lüddemann studied German and history from 1978 to 1985 , as well as journalism , philosophy and art history at the University of Münster (first state examination) and from 1993 to 1996 cultural management at the Fernuniversität Hagen (university certificate). In 2003 he received his doctorate from the Fernuniversität Hagen with his dissertation “Art Criticism as Communication”. phil. (“Summa cum laude”) doctorate.

Lüddemann volunteered at the Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung from 1987 to 1989 . Since 1998 he has headed the feature section of the Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung and in 2009 took over the management of the “Culture and Knowledge” section. The subject area belongs to the central editorial office based in Osnabrück, which also supplies publications belonging to the group and external customers such as the Schleswig-Holstein newspaper publisher in Flensburg, the Schweriner Volkszeitung and other titles with national content. Lüddemann is responsible for art and literary criticism in the subject area "Culture and Knowledge". He comments on cultural-political issues, writes essays and cultural reports.

He was appointed honorary professor by the University of Osnabrück in 2019 . In the linguistic and literary studies department, he teaches cultural journalism, features and literary criticism. Lüddemann has been teaching at the University of Osnabrück (cultural journalism and art studies) and at the FernUniversität Hagen (cultural management) since 1998.

Lüddemann is active as an author for art - Das Kunstmagazin , Kulturpolitische Mitteilungen , Graphische Kunst and other publications. Stefan Lüddemann was elected as a member of the PEN Center Germany in 2019. He is also a member of the Association Internationale des Critiques d'Art (AICA) as well as other associations and societies such as the Kulturpolitische Gesellschaft, Fachverband Kulturmanagement.
