Philosophical position

According to Rainer Zimmermann , Sorgner is “Germany's leading post- and transhumanist philosopher”. Sorgner himself describes his position as "metahumanist" perspectivism , a characterization that should include both "posthumanism" and "transhumanism". Sorgner's remarks on the relationship between Nietzsche and transhumanism or posthumanism, as well as his radical criticism of human dignity and his related revision proposals were received several times. The “nihilism”, the rise of which Nietzsche describes “aptly”, is what Sorgner regards “as an asset”. "This also means that the prevailing concept of human dignity from the perspective of perspectivism does not have a higher status with regard to the knowledge of truth in correspondence with reality than the conceptions of Adolf Hitler or Pol Pot ."
