Stefan Mohrdieck

Stefan Mohrdieck (born January 23, 1967 in Brunsbüttelkoog ) is a German administrative officer . Since June 1, 2018 he has been the District Administrator of the Dithmarschen district . He had previously held the office of mayor of Brunsbüttel from May 1, 2011 to May 31, 2018 .

Life

Mohrdieck attended the Brunsbüttel-Süd elementary school and then from 1977 to 1983 the Boje-Realschule Brunsbüttel, which he graduated with a secondary school leaving certificate. From 1983 to 1986 he trained as an administrative clerk. He then worked as a clerk in the Brunsbüttel city administration from 1986 to 1991 and also took part in a course to acquire the technical college entrance qualification at the adult education center in Brunsbüttel from 1988 to 1991 and then acquired the technical college entrance qualification at the vocational training center Dithmarschen. From 1991 to 1994 Mohrdieck studied administrative sciences at the University of Applied Sciences for Administration in Altenholz . There he received the degree in administrative management (FH) and at the same time the general university entrance qualification.

From 1994 he was again active in the administration of the city of Brunsbüttel and held various offices over the next few years. In 1994 he became city inspector and 1996 chief city inspector for administration in the finance department / urban development subsidy. In 1998 he was appointed registrar. As such, he headed the Department of General Administration, Schools and Culture. In 2001 he became a probationary councilor and in 2003 he became an official councilor and thus headed the regulatory office. In 2006, the department head for internal administration, education, citizen services and public security was appointed and at the same time a senior official. During this time he founded Stadtwerke Brunsbüttel GmbH as managing director in June.

In 2011 he was elected full-time mayor of the city of Brunsbüttel for the first time. In a direct election on February 20, he won 61.26% of the votes cast against Oliver Kumbartzky and Axel Sieck, replacing the previous mayor, Wilfried Hansen, who had refused to run again. He took office on May 1, 2011. In the mayoral election on February 26, 2017, Mohrdieck was the only candidate and was re-elected with 79.1% of the votes cast. On 18 January 2018 he was the Dithmarscher district council elected head of the district. In the third round of elections, he prevailed against his CDU opponent with a simple majority of 24 of the 47 votes . As a result of the election won, Mohrdieck resigned from his mayor's office on May 31, 2018. On June 1, 2018, he took up the post of district administrator. The independent Martin Schmedtje, in turn, succeeded him as Mayor of Brunsbüttel.

Mohrdieck is married and has two children, a son and a daughter.
