Oliver Kumbartzky (born September 19, 1981 in Brunsbüttel ) is a Schleswig-Holstein politician ( FDP ) and a member of the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament .

education and profession

Oliver Kumbartzky passed his Abitur in 2001 at the Brunsbüttel grammar school, then did military service and completed an apprenticeship as a tax clerk from 2002 to 2004. From 2002 to 2007 he studied business administration at the West Coast University of Applied Sciences in Heide. After graduating as a business graduate (FH), he had been a partner at the postcard publisher Coast-Cards since 2006 and worked from 2008 to 2009 as marketing manager at Dithmarschen Tourismus eV

politics

Oliver Kumbartzky has been a member of the FDP since 2002. He is the deputy FDP local chairman in Brunsbüttel, has been a member of the executive district board of the FDP Dithmarschen since 2005 , was an assessor in the FDP state board from 2007 and has been the state treasurer of the FDP Schleswig-Holstein since 2013.

In the local elections in Schleswig-Holstein in 2008 and 2013 , he was elected councilor in Brunsbüttel, where he is deputy leader of the FDP parliamentary group. In 2011 he ran for the office of mayor of the city of Brunsbüttel, but was defeated in the direct election on February 20 to the non-party Stefan Mohrdieck

In the state elections in Schleswig-Holstein in 2009 he was elected to the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament for the first time via the state list of the FDP, where he was a member of the finance and economic committee. After his re-election in 2012 , he switched to the Environment and Agriculture Committee and the Petitions Committee as a member. He is spokesman for the FDP parliamentary group u. a. for the environment, energy and tourism. After the state elections in 2017 , he was elected Vice-President of the State Parliament and also took over the chairmanship of the Environment and Agriculture Committee. In addition to the candidacy on the state list, he also ran in the state constituency of Dithmarschen-Süd , where he received 15.9% (2009), 7.3% (2012) and 13.3% (2017) of the first votes. Kumbartzky is also a deputy member of the parliamentary unification committee.

Since December 2017 he has been the parliamentary director of his parliamentary group in the state parliament.

Volunteering

Kumbartzky is co-founder and chairman of the association We are Dithmarschen who, shortly after the grand coalition under Prime Minister Peter Harry Carstensen in autumn 2006 for Administrative Reform had spoken, was founded as a protest movement to the resolution of the circle to prevent Dithmarschen. The “popular initiative against the amalgamation of circles without their consent” initiated by the association gathered more than 33,000 signatures within just six weeks. At the beginning of October 2007 the state government gave up its project in this regard. He is co-organizer of the Wattolümpiade in Brunsbüttel and acts there as "Wattkampfleiter".
